In 1997 one of the balls of light hit the windows and window frames of Robbert's bedroom. The light seemed to explode, after which a large amount of white powder whirled down onto the small balcony. The powder was sent to the BLT Research Team in order to be analysed. And that's how these scientists got to be involved in the Robbert Van den Broeke case...

The powder turned out to be pure magnesiumoxide. Magnesiumoxide is the white stuff used by for instance sportsmen to make their hands less sweaty and slippery. It is a combustion product, which means that upon analysis, one always finds traces of the original material that was burnt. But in this case, there was not a single trace of the original material. This magnesiumoxide was so pure, it does not appear in nature that way.

Yet another verifiable aspect was the following.
The balls of light hit the window frames leaving behind some very clear traces: the paint had been bubbled and blistered due to the intense heat. Furthermore there were traces of singuing and suit, on both the windows and window frames.
